DANSE &
CINEMA
About
Founded in 2012, Regards Hybrides’ mandate is to facilitate the articulation and development of artistic practices in which dance and cinema are intertwined. Its web platform collects and share existing resources in screendance, in addition to connecting organizations that are involved in its development. The biennale project Regards Hybrides : An International Forum held in 2017 and 2019 in collaboration with Tangente, brought together several dozen specialists and artists for a time dedicated to the interaction between dance and cinema in the digital age and the development of new technologies. Regards Hybrides also offers professional and academic workshops, as well as support services to artists, presenters and other actors in the artistic milieu via its specialized Squad. In 2023, Regards Hybrides Collection launches its online screendance collection, which includes more than sixty Canadian works, as well as thirty exclusive complementary contents (interviews, texts, archives).
