Regards Hybrides x La Fabrique culturelle: “Indigenous Voices” series

Culture, identity, nature and intimacy come together in this series of screendance dedicated to Indigenous voices. The four short films express distinct realities that generate empathy, through urban, poetic or political visions. Anchored in the immensity of nature or the concrete challenges of everyday life, the images carry strong messages that move us. Dance plays a discreet, sometimes secondary, and yet essential role here: it is through the body and its movements, small or large, that the artists in this series share what inhabits them.

Wolastoqey and Quebecois dancer and choreographer Ivanie Aubin-Malo delivers four poems in response to her viewing of the choreographic short films in this series. A sensitive echo which amplifies the scope of the works, creating a delayed artistic dialogue. To read or re-read, before or after discovering each film!
